Warorot Market (locally known as Kad Luang) is one of Chiang Mai's oldest and most vibrant markets, offering an authentic glimpse into local Thai life. Located near the Ping River, it is a bustling hub for shopping, dining, and cultural exploration. The market is famous for its wide variety of goods, including fresh produce, street food, spices, clothing, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It's a great place to sample Northern Thai delicacies such as sai ua (spicy sausage), nam prik (chili dips), and traditional sweets. Warorot Market is also known for its affordable prices, attracting both locals and tourists.
