Wat Chai Mongkhon, an ancient royal monastery, is one of the most important temples in Ayutthaya province. The Mae Ping River cuts through Chiang Mai, just a few blocks east of the Old City and night market, where its banks have been developed with hotels, open-air restaurants and bars. The Silver Temple in Chiang Mai is truly one of the most unique temples in the city! The temple, made entirely out of plated silver, takes on a bluish hue at certain times of the day and from different angles it can change colours as well. This is why some people may refer to it as the blue or silver temple.
