It is held right in front of the Sunday market and the water is clean, so you don't need to use a filter. The breakfast is also good, and free fruits and water are always available, which is great. We loved our stay at POR Thapae Gate. Our room was comfortable and had exactly what we needed, the breakfast every morning was delicious, the pool was great, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It’s also in walking distance of many great restaurants and markets in Chiang Mai.
