After Pick up, we will visit Wat Umong. This temple set in the forest is completely different from other typical temples, this one is built inside a tunnel. Enter the tunnels of Wat Umong and see the impressive Buddha images. It doesn’t matter what religion you have. Re-board the minivan and drive rolling hills surrounding Chiang Mai to experience the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Then Climb a staircase of 306 steps leading to Doi Suthep temple. This staircase leading to the site is adorned with the impressive body of the mythical dragon-headed serpent, or Naga, snaking its way down 306 steps. This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet. Reaching the top, admire the Lanna-style golden pagoda covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas, and a fantastic Night city view from the mountain.
